Iroha Garden mycket bra.
As promised in the feedback form I get back to you with some more thoughts now, after getting back to Sweden. I cannot write about everything we experienced but I choose some to comment. The reception at Siem Reap airport was great and we thought that the guide, ms Dy(?) was very nice and she spoke such good English that is was very easy for us to understand everything. She gave us a good description about what the days in Siem Real would contain and we got to rest for a few hours at the hotel before going to the Artisans. It was a great hotel and we are not at all dissatisfied with Borei Angkor, it is nice to experience such luxury once in a while. One problem was the breakfast, there was too much to choose from :) The trip to the temples was such a wonderful experience. It is truly fantastic how these temples were built so long ago and the history behind is very cool, like that a king builds a great big temple in honor to his mother, and that Angkor Thom had almost 1 million citizens in the 13th century. And many thanks for the gondola tour, very peaceful and we had a great chat with ms Dy about ancient and current Cambodia. When arriving Phnom Penh we got a great reception of the guide that I forgot the name of. He was a bit hard to understand but he was very eager to tell us about the history of the country so it was a shame that his English wasn’t better. The hotel in Phnom Penh, Iroha garden, was wonderful. Such a great host and the room was very nice and, well, everything was great. So thankful that we let you convince us that we should choose that hotel. On our free day we visited both Toul Sleng and the killing fields. A day of horror but we felt that it was important to see and hear about this part of Cambodia’s history as well. The cruise that evening was a good end to the day and we got to experience it with a nice couple from Australia and a pair of volunteer dentists from Ireland. We had a great evening. And what can we say about our stay in Kep. It was so slow, calm, relaxing and warm. Just everything we wanted and then some. The hotel and the staff there was so great, the food tasted great, both local and western. We boarded the plane(s) back to Sweden very relaxed and very, very satisfied with our choice of honey moon and with how it turned out. Much thanks to you, so thank you very, very much. We have, and will, talk very good about Voyage by me in general and Cambodia by me specifically with our friends. A great way to tailor your own trip but get help with the practical stuff and also valuable advice. Again, thank you! And we’ll get back to you in a couple of years, on the way home we said that now we’ll start saving up to the trip to Africa to experience a real safari trip. And, I might actually have promised our 8 year old son that we’ll return to Cambodia some day and that he and his little sister could join then… Best regards
